Hosting and Provisioning

Sandfield provides a fully managed service that includes all the components for secure, reliable and performant application delivery. The components and resources can be scaled up or down to perfectly match the customer’s requirements. 

We take care of the environment end-to-end so you can focus on business outcomes, not delivery of the software. Our preferred cloud platform is Amazon Web Services (AWS) where we have been provisioning services for over 7 years. We partner with AWS and work closely with their local NZ team.

Availability Management

Business critical operations can have full confidence knowing that we provide 99.9% availability through the AWS Cloud Computing Services platform. On top of this, we add another level of availability across multiple Availability Zones (datacentres) with load balanced application servers and replicated SQL databases.

Database Administration

Our team of expert Database Administrators make managing and optimising your SQL Server Databases easy. With over 30 years experience in Database Administration, our team look after some of New Zealand’s largest databases, tackling complex problems and providing tailored solutions that make a real difference to their business. 

We provide a fully managed and tailored SQL service and have the flexibility to cater to your individual business needs. We provide a range of additional services for our clients including database replication, partitioning, disaster recovery services, security audits and more.

With well planned and monitored data protection and regular recovery/restore tests, coupled with our offsite replication options we can provide a high level of confidence that your data is safe and business can continue to operate in the face of an incident or disaster.

Enable quick response to problems before they become issues by catching warnings and trends early on, improving reliability and uptime. Regular reviews of requirements and infrastructure capacity will allow the systems to provide maximum benefit and grow with the business.

Sandfield monitoring combines our own server monitoring, native platform monitoring and specialist DBA tools. All of these report back into a central notification dashboard where issues can be prioritised and assigned to appropriate team members.

Cyber security is a shared responsibility between AWS and Sandfield. AWS provides “Security of the Cloud” (composed of the hardware, software, networking, and facilities that run AWS Cloud services) while Sandfield provides “Security in the Cloud” which includes users, data, applications and guest operating systems where used.
